Upon helping my daughters make paper fans:
M: You're a fantastic mommy!
me: Ah, thanks sweetie!
M: And you're so creative ... just like me.
Guess my worries about my five year old having good self esteem might be unfounded.

But then you've got to wonder if her compliment was simply a creative way of manipulating you. My kids aren't above it.
Oh, she's the queen of maniputlation. Except this time she didn't seem to want anything. Seemed more like a back handed way of complimenting herself. It was pretty funny though.
Total manipulation! and too funny!
That M is a smart cookie.
I answered your question on my blog but thought I'd add it here in case you miss it.

Good question Tracey.
This is how I do it.
The girl goes for a nap daily 12-2 and the TV goes on for the boy while mom writes.
Also dadddy takes the kids out for a couple hour regularly to give me a break and I write then as well.
It IS a struggle to fit it all in.
And it IS a struggle to juggle yoga in as well, but I have learned that my activities are a priority or I deflate like a crancky balloon.
So we find the time.
I think about how I can fit it in daily. Given the option I will pick writing over yoga, but not for too many days.
Also I have hired a babysitter to come in 2 times a week for a couple hours when hubby is at work and on those days I go to the coffee shop with my laptop.
So that is how.
