Back on track

Consider my last post therapy. It always seems when I feel overwhelmed and then post about it a good night's sleep gets me back on my feet and ready to go again. I have gone ahead and submitted an idea to the newspaper for a column. The theme is green living for families. I thought it was a pretty wide topic with lots of interesting possibilities. I'll keep you posted.

I've never seen your pom-poms, but I'm sure they're just lovely!

T - a reporter at my station recently did a story on a family who's cutting costs, and helping the environment, by going without toilet paper. Seriously! They use cloth rags. Wash and reuse.

Can you imagine?

Congratulations are in order, I suppose. Although I'm a little hurt that you didn't like my idea. Hey maybe you could still call it 'The View from Down Here', as in, you're kneeling down gardening or recycling or something.

Yipee! You, go, you! I think it's a great idea, hubby and I have been trying to go green over the last couple years. If all goes well, you must post your pieces! Though, I'm not sure I'm into that toilet paper thing. I've heard of people using a particular kind of leaf that you can flush cuz is totally biodegradable, but reusable rags? Kind of makes me gag. Plus, it seems odd...you're saving paper but using extra water?
